Praxis, a moon orbiting the Klingon Homeworld Qronos, vital for klingon mining and energy production, explodes...

The crew of the USS Enterprise is called to the Starfleet Headquaters to embark on a final mission - to escort Klingon chancellor Gorkon to Earth for peace-talks.

With the exception of Spock everyone of the Enterprise crew was planing for the time after their retirement - so their not really happy about this mission.

During a reception dinner for the chancellor and his party abroad Enterprise the mutual distrust breakes free - and after the dinner the chancellor's ship is attacked, the chancellor killed – attacked by the Enterprise as it seems...

My Opinion:

A great sing-off for the original Enterprise crew. Great story, guest-stars and effects.
