The Story:

After Finn Dodd's boyfriend Sam proposed to her she drove to her grandma Hy for the summer to write her masters thesis and to think about Sam's proposal...

Hy and her friends begin to work on Finn's wedding quilt and they tell her stories of their loves. During her stay she gets romantically involved with a local farmerboy...and things are starting to get difficult...

She has to decide where her love resides...

My Opinion:

Many poeple where somewhat disapointed about the movie, mentioning the all-star cast. They've expected a BIG Hollywood movie...

I can't agree with that. It's a silent and wonderful tale about love and it's difficulties...

The cast acts really good: Afre Woodard (known from „Star Trek: First Contact“ as Lilly) as mysterious Marianna, Rip Torn (known as „Z“ from the „MIB“ movies), Claire Danes (known from „Little Women“) and of course Winona as Finn, one of my fav characters Winona played...
