The Story:

The Story of the March sisters. During the US civil-war the march family has to manage their live alone. They're short on money but they compensate that with a great love for life and for each other. Whenever possible they even try to help the poor in Concord.

Most of the leisure time the sisters, or the „The Pickwick Society“ as they call themselfes, are acting self-written plays on the roof-truss and talking about boys...

My Opinion:

It was the fourth time „Little Women“ was produced. This production depends completely on the great all-star cast and Winona Ryder, who was nominated for an Academy Award (Oscar) for her performance of Jo March.

A great warm movie...

Two scenes were cut:

While in New York there was a little scene, where Jo teaches french to the children...

Back at home with Beth near death, there was a scene where the cat don't want to come to Beth. As if the animal could feel that Beth is passing away...

A new friendship: Winona and Claire Danes
