Driving to Claymore
On the way to Claymore Susanna is seeing another taxi driving the other direction...and she strongly believes the passenger in that taxi is herself returning from Claymore. While still confused she is seeing a girl hanging out...which later turns out to be Lisa.
As the ride will take some time Susanna takes a nap on the back seat...in a flashback we see one of Susanna's nightmares...
At the caféteria
Taking her first dinner at Claymore...Polly introduces the other girls to her...and she met John for the first time...
Therapy with Melvin
Melvin has a really uncooperative patient on his couch... Miss Susanna Kaysen....
In the museum
While waitung for a dealer where Lisa and Susanna can sell their meds they visit the nearby museum...and Susanna is drawn by a painting by Vermeer: „Girl, Interrupted at her musical lesson“...
At the supermarket
At home before Susanna went to Claymore...an evening with her mother...her mother is at the piano, talking about beeing a piano player....what she gave up when she got Susanna.
Susanna
afraid of ending up like her mother chases a bottle of aspirin with a
bottle of vodka...then she went to the supermarket to buy a steak for
her mother and herself...but in the supermarket her „aperetif“
is starting to affect her heavily...beginning with a bloody nightmare
while still awake...leading to her breakdown.
