Premiere Pics and Vids |
My Opinion:
One of Winona's finest perfomances, she's extremely fierce as the bad and nasty girl. I really love to hate her character...and another movie in which Winona's perfomances was worthy of an oscar.
Why this movie was a flop at the box-office is beyond my imagination...
Just a pleasure to watch...

Crew & Cast about The Crucible |
It was great,
because it was an opportunity to do it without taking my clothes off
and getting sprayed with glycerin and rolling around with somebody.
To me, it was much more sexual than that. It was a different kind,
very aggressive. It was the best acting experience I have ever had. I
can't remember raising my voice in a film before.
Noni
about The Crucible
I think the idea of
whipping up mass hysteria against a scapegoat is all over the place
today.
Winona about The Crucible
One
of
the most complex roles ever written, certainly for a woman.
Winona
about Abby
I
found myself sitting opposite a waif in a big white T-shirt who
looked on the younger side of twelve.
Nicholas
Hytner about casting Winona
She
was able to convey precise focus, presice desire very very well
indeed.
Nicholas Hytner about Winona's acting
I'm
simply besotted with him - Walking in I knew what he liked and didn't
like, what distracted him and what worked. There was no walking on
eggshells.
Winona about Daniel Day-Lewis
I
went
through a very bad depression afterwards, fled home to my family, ate
a lot of chicken soup, and got my feet rubbed - but it was probably
one of the best experiences of my life, acting-wise and
creatively.
