The Making of – Alien: Resurrection
For Winona acting in Alien is like a dream coming true - she adored the original Alien in general and Sigourney Weaver in special: It's the only movie where a women whoops ET's ass...
Jean Pierre Jeunet was really fond Winona's acting, saying that everything was just so easy with her...

For Winona however it was the first time acting in an action movie - so she had to do many new things: some are fun - and some are not like the underwater scenes...
Winona nearly drowned when she was around 12 years old and had scince then never gone under water again - as a stunt-doulbe was not an option she had to face her fears and had to do the scenes herself.

The underwater scenes were shot first - and after that they had a real good time it seems...
She was very warm
and very relaxed, whereas some celebs are tense and uptight. She
would meet me in the morning feeling very low in energy and very
sleepy, but by the time we were finished she would be raring to
go.
Fitness Trainer Nancy Kennedy who trained
aqua-aerobics, weight training, scuba driving and matial art boxing
with Winona
I didn't want to be
the scrawny, wheezy person in the background who wasn't able to keep
up with the rest of the actors. Everybody was in such great shape, I
thought poeple will laugh at me when they see my, so I had to at
least be strong to do some of my own stunts.
Winona
on working out
She was squibbed,
got shot, blasted against a wall, fell of a platform – then
down an elevator shaft – into water. And that was Winona! She
did all of it.
Ernie Orsatti, 2nd
stunt-coordinator

Winona and I are
standing behind a festive Valentine's table offering champagne and
little party favours filled with candy and condoms cleverly disguised
as pirate coins – A guy comes by who we've never seen before.
He picks up a pirate coin, unwraps it thoughtfully, pops it in his
mouth, and strolls away: chewing - „I hope it's flavoured,“

Sigourney Weaver
I really got into
Ray Bradbury and Fahrenheit 451. I was also kind of raised on
Twilight Zone – But Star Wars was more of a boy's thing.
Winona
about Science Fiction
Yes, creepy.
Winona
on „Invaders from Mars“
She took on the
role of producer and every day for two weeks parked herself in my
office determined to help.
Jorge Saralegui,
Senior Vice-President of Production at 20th
Century Fox
She comes on the
set completely relaxed and when we say „roll“ she is a
force of concentration, focused on the immediate scene, no rehearsals
are required – This instinctual way of working is a rare
quality usually only found in children.
Jean-Pierre
Jeunet
She was the
anti-terminator.
